reserve 4 seats for you on the 1.30pm LINEAS AMAZONAS S.A.S. (blue) public
express boat from Leticia harbor to the Bocana Amacayacu stop (1.5 to 2 hours up
the Amazon river). The cost of the express boat (COP 28.000 pp) is not included
in the Casa Gregorio package; we will reserve your seats and you will pay in
Leticia harbor at the express boat office AT LEAST ONE HOUR BEFORE DEPARTURE.
You can easily find a taxi at the airport to take you there (less than 10mins,
COP 10.000). ATTENTION Please be on the floating dock half an hour before
departure! * * We will be in Bocana Amacayacu to pick you up for another 20
minute boat trip to San Martin de Amacayacu where there is no phone signal to
communicate last minute changes, so it´s important we coordinate well and be on
time to catch the reserved express boat! The express boat goes back to Leticia
at 7am on August 7 (COP 33.000 pp); we reserve your seats and make sure you get
to the Bocana Amacayacu stop on time. You can pay on the boat. * The total price
of the itinerary for 4 people is COP 5.620.000 (lodging in a private room). Casa
Gregorio only offers complete packages which include all activities, transport
between Bocana Amacayacu and Casa Gregorio and during the activities,
comfortable lodging, meals, drinking water, coffee & tea, rubber boots, rain
clothing. You will have a private guide and transport at all times. The price
does not include the airport tax of 35.000 COP person upon charged upon arrival
in Leticia, lodging or meals in Leticia, taxi fares in Leticia or the express
boat. Please bear in mind that Colombian ATM cash machines only allow a few
withdrawals between COP 300.000-600.000 every 24 hours. It may be useful to have
two ATM cards or plan your withdrawals well in advance. Please remember to bring
small denomination bills for us as well as yourself; when you just want to buy a
beer or a small handicraft item, change from a big bill is hard to come by. DUS:

* From Pereira: You should go to the ground transportation terminal where you
can take the local bus to Salento with Flota Occidental company. The trip is
about 1 hour long and it may costs $7000 COP (USD 2,33). The buses runs
approximately every two hours from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. * Vanaf het centrale
plein in Salento staan de willy's klaar om je voor 1 euro naar de Valle del
Cocora te brengen. Hier kan je een hike (+/- 5 uur) doen tussen de hoogtste
palmbomen ter wereld * Carbonera: dit is de allergrootste wax palmbomen vallei.
Hier kan je downhill mountainbiken. Je wordt met de auto omhoog gebracht en
fietst alleen maar naar beneden. Er komen hier weinig toeristen aangezien alleen
de fietstour toegang heeft tot dit park. Zie ook de insta verhalen van

Zaterdagavond = Pubcrawl / Chiva party bus! Guatapé is het kleurrijkste dorpje
van Colombia en het perfecte dagje uit vanuit Medellin. Met de bus die elk half
uur vertrekt vanuit Medellin is dit goed te doen. Alle huizen in Guatapé hebben
minstens 5 verschillende kleuren op de muur en de sfeer is heerlijk tranquilo.
Overal vind je leuke koffie tentjes met vrolijke muziek en net buiten het dorpje
ligt de bekende rots La Piedra del Peñol vanwaar je een waanzinnig uitzicht hebt
over het waterrijke natuurgebied. Optie hostel: Los Patios

Er zijn twee ingangen, de hoofdingang El Zaino en ingang Calabaso. Bij Calabaso
is het veel rustiger, maar als je blijft overnachten moet je naar de
hoofdingang. Tayrona gaat om 8.00 open dus het wordt aangeraden om er dan ook te
zijn. 1. El Zaino: vanaf hier is er een optie het eerste stuk een bus te nemen
in plaats van 1 uur te lopen. Volgens facebook reacties en reisjunk is dat een
aanrader aangezien het eerste stuk saai is. Het startpunt van de wandeling is
ook pas op de plek waar de bus stopt. 2. Je loopt door de jungle langs de
stranden Arrecifes (1 uur lopen, niet zwemmen) en La Piscina (30 min lopen,
zwemmen). 3. Cabo San Juan (20 min lopen, zwemmen). Dit is hét strand van de
route. Hier is een restaurant en hier kan je slapen. 4. De volgende dag kan je
of terug lopen (wat volgens reisjunk wordt aangeraden bij 1 nacht), of verder
lopen (waarvoor reisjunk 2 nachten aanraadt). 5. El Pueblito: 2 uur klimmen. 6.
Playa Brava: 1 uur lopen (brede weg naar beneden) 7. Calabazo: dit is de andere
in/uitgang. Van Playa Brava naar hier is het nog 2,5 uur lopen.
