Take a ferry the next day to Picton ,leave before 2:00am (must leave 1 hour before departure time for check in)

From Picton drive to Blenheim (26 mins drive) and stay for half a day to see Omaka Aviation Heritage Center then drive through Lake Grassmere (28 mins drive) and stop for awhile just to see the pink lake next stop is the Ohau Point Lookout (50 mins drive) (can see baby seals from here) then drive to Kaikoura (23 mins drive)

Bicycle around town from camp to Seal Beach / Whalers Bay (48 mins ride one way) . .do full circle cycling around town

If we still have time after the Kaikoura ride in the afternoon, we can stay in Hanmer instead for a night and have a nice hot bath
