Tickets to climb the temple are limited and sell out quickly so it’s advisable to book your climb ticket in advance

Another great viewing spot for sunrise is from Punthuk Setumbu - a hill located in the village of Karabgrejo in the Borobudur district. The best time to visit is for sunrise as early as 5am. Hills open daily from 4am-5pm, 15min trek to top of the hill
