The heart of the Morvan, this hilltop town is a perfect base for exploring the regional park. Visit the Musée du Septennat and enjoy local Burgundy charcuterie and wines. Great Airbnb options in and around town with easy access to forest trails and lakes.
Quarré-les-Tombes, France

A charming village in the northern Morvan, ideal for a second Airbnb base with a more rural feel. The nearby Cure and Trinquelin rivers offer excellent rafting and kayaking spots. Don't miss the mysterious ancient stone sarcophagi surrounding the village church.
Saulieu, France

A beautiful market town on the edge of the Morvan, famous for its gastronomy and the Burgundy beef festival. Visit the Romanesque Basilica of Saint-Andoche and browse the local market for regional produce. A great final stop before heading out of the park.
