Voor mensen die twijfelen. Wat een toffe plaats! - Maya tempels zijn
indrukwekkend - wij hadden een gids. Let op; in begin proberen de verkopers je
eerst een gids te geven en vervolgens dat je magische paddestoelen als ritueel
gaat doen. Bovendien liet die ons ruiken aan een takje. Wij vertrouwden dit
uiteraard voor geen meter. De gids, een Maya jongen met de naam Luisio, liep
uiteindelijk met ons verder. We kregen een slecht gevoel erbij en wouden zsm via
de jungle naar de tempels waar ook andere mensen waren. Eenmaal bij de tempels
kregen we het door. Luisio wordt ook gebruikt door die twee mafkezen van
Mexicaanse verkopers. Hij vertelde heel uitgebreid met beeldmateriaal en maakte
bovendien prachtige foto’s voor ons. Special effects met Panorama view. Echt
heel tof! Als dank hebben we hem 100 peso fooi gegeven. Hij was er zeer van
onder de indruk en dat bevestigde dat hij ook maar gebruikt wordt. De gids
betaal je aan de Mexicanen en was 100 per persoon. - het centrum is echt heel
levendig en de sfeer fantastisch - goedkoop en super lekker eten kun je bij: el
caracol de jade. ( ligt naast de kerk) wij hadden voor 150 peso met twee
personen voldoende gegeten.

To get to Casa Gregorio on September 6, we will reserve 2 seats on the 10am
EXPRESOS UNIDOS TRES FRONTERAS (red) public express boat from Leticia harbor to
the Bocana Amacayacu stop (1.5 to 2 hours up the Amazon river). The cost of the
express boat (COP 28.000 pp) is not included in the Casa Gregorio package; we
will reserve your seats and you will pay in Leticia harbor at the express boat
office AT LEAST ONE HOUR BEFORE DEPARTURE. You can easily find a taxi at the
airport to take you there (less than 10mins, COP 10.000). ATTENTION Please be on
the floating dock half an hour before departure! We will be in Bocana Amacayacu
to pick you up for another 20 minute boat trip to San Martin de Amacayacu where
there is no phone signal to communicate last minute changes, so it´s important
we coordinate well and be on time to catch the reserved express boat! The
express boat goes back to Leticia at 7am on September 11 (COP 33.000 pp); we
reserve your seats and make sure you get to the Bocana Amacayacu stop on time.
