Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, Vietnam
2-3 days (adventure place & ke bang national park)
* 1 or 2 nights tops
* stayed at central backpackers- was nice clean and cheap. Had the potential for being v social we just didn’t go out here. Food was nice
* Duck stop- so fun- 100k for the ducks and for lunch and drink
* Get a moped here or have someone that can drive you- grab isnt a thing and taxis are spenny
* Dark caves- was spenny so we didn’t do but heard it was good, included zip line and stuff
* Treehouse cafe for brekkie- was cheap and nice western food.
* Honestly just drive round it’s so beautiful- countryside rice fields etc

* Ha ha land
Phong Nha- stayed at central backpackers. Do the duck stop. We also did a cave boat tour, a hike and a coffee making class. There is a karoke bus/ bar.

* honestly don’t need very long here. It’s only 30 mins from hoi an so could even do a day trip
* Stayed at Kon tiki hostel which was very nice and very cheap. The location was slightly further out. Not very social
* Dragon bridge- only sat and sun- very underwhelming but defo do it still if you can
* Sun world- honestly the weirdest day of my life- only go if you are in a big group coz otherwise would be a bit dead. Like £30 to get in. Cable car was nice, free fair rides and the golden hands bridge. Just got a taxi there was cheaper than tour
* Bikini bottom express- omg best burgers ever and reasonable price. Near the beach
* Puna- amazing breakfast and smoothies- reasonable price
* Paradise beach bar- pricy however so nice and sometimes they show movies on big screen
* Bar next to Luxi decor- not sure what the name was but was latino and was a vibe- xwent here after a few drinks and was so fun
De nang - I really loved de nang, it has a lovely beach and good night markets. Clubs are super expensive though and I feel like I was in a really great group at this point which maybe made my experience really good! We stayed in a hotel called golden line as it was only £7 a night split between us all but of course it wasn’t very social as it wasn’t really a backpackers place!

Hoi An: 3 days (spinny boats in the canel. Only place that’s abit dodgy but as long as you stay as a group when going home at night is fine. Stayed at bed station)
* Snapstay hostel was amazing and very social and location was good. Was like £9-10 a night tho.
* coconut boats- were really fun, little expensive
* Tailored clothing- only get something if you know what you want
* Lantern making- the lantern lady( can book through facebook)
* Boats on the river- try to go in group of 3 otherwise it costs more
* My an beach- go to the deckhouse they have free loungers if you buy a drink
* Bikini bottom- amazing burgers and milkshakes! - very reasonable price- near the beach
* Banh mi Queen- best banh mi I’ve had
* Cau lau - local food and ssooo good and very cheap
* Good morning Vietnam- Italian food, slightly more expensive
* Ganesh- Indian food, we didn’t actually go but meant to be very good and reasonable price
* Buttercup by Rosie’s- good bagels/ cafe vibes
* Port city bagels- amazinggg, but bit pricie
Hoi an - absolutely loved it here! Stayed at Fuse old town and loved it. There is also a fuse beach which looked just as nice. There’s so much to do here, we spent 4 nights but could have easily done more. Really cute streets, can do so much like lantern making, go through the markets, get clothes tailored, cycle to the beach, do the coconut boats! Good night life here too.

Hoi an was stunning but the hostel we stayed at was properly out the way cuckoo something, so I would look at going more central just the beds don’t have curtains 😟 maybe mad monkey
Hoi An- mad monkey hostel, go to silk club beach club, night out in the centre along the strip is good, mad monkey do a cycling tour which is really wholesome and you do lantern making, mad monkey also do a cooking course, where you get to go on the basket boats along the river (10/10 recommend). Try Cao Lao here- can only get it in Hoi An and it’s so good. Go along the lantern river at night.

Da Lat: 2-3 days (canyon there) stay at sigon or tigon (one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at)
Da Lat
* stayed at Dalat Family hostel. Was literally £1 a night was v basic but was so worth it. Do the family dinner and go out with everyone and you have the best time. Also has free transfers to maze bar every night
* The breakfast and lunch at the hostel is also v good and soooo cheap.
* Alpine coaster- was defo worth doing but was not as long as I thought
* Clay tunnels- not really sure about this one, kinda felt like you were high coz it was weird and was a bit pricy- 120k
* crazy house- defo worth it, was very cheap entrance and was cool
* Maze bar- defo do it but don’t have high expectations about how hard the maze is, was v easy. Also drinks were a little expensive
* 6th floor - very weird vibes but if you are drunk is defo worth a visit
* Pho Hieu - really good beef noddle soup
* Da Lat backpackers alley
* Canyoning
De Lat - most people go here for canyoning or the alpine coaster. Both look so fun but were unfortunately shut when we got there! The canyoning is £80 as well so quite expensive but does look fun. We stayed at King Kong hostel which had dingy rooms but was very social. Aside from the canyoning and alpine coaster there are some nice waterfalls here and the crazy house which is worth a visit. You don’t really need more than a day here though.

Ho chi minh- stayed in celine living (so nice)- really good food, and fake shopping markets. Chi chi tunnels
Ho Chi Minh has been sick but not sure what it would be like if it wasn’t Christmas
Stay in district 1 if u can
Bui Vien walking street is the Kho San road of Ho Chi Minh
Deffo go to the war museum before the chu chi tunnels will give u more of an insite on the Vietnam war
Not sure if u like tech house but we went to a few cool roof top bars

Ho Chi Minh
* stayed at base backpackers- brand new hostel so was cheap and soo nice. Good location but not the most social
* Cu chi tunnels and war museum are a must. War museum was very Info Heavy so don’t go hungover
* Post office was cute- can send a postcard
* Book street was also nice for a wander
* Walking street- (kinda like khao san road) ngl this is only a good night out if there is a big group of you. Defo interesting to walk down tho
* Lush club- apparently you can get free drinks all night here on Tuesday if you are a girl. Ngl rest of the time seriously expensive so avoid
* Banh mi hong hoa- v good
* Ben thanh market - fake clothes market - cool to walk around. Also you can get cheap noodle soup here. Would recommend wonton soup
* Pho quynh- omg best noodle soup - get the beef stew with carrots in. Was insane.
* Little Hanoi egg coffee- so cute coffee shop- nice to meet up with friends, they also do toasties, tuna sandwich was good
* The hungry pig is meant to be good but didn’t go in end
* McDonalds- do I need to explain
Ho Chi Min - a great last stop, we stayed at hideout hostel which was decent, relatively social but the social area wasn’t massive. It was in a great location though! There is so much to do here too, the cu chi tunnels, war museum, post office, and all the markets with knock off designer clothes for so cheap! Stayed for 4 nights and felt that was enough.
