Markets in Masaya (20p chicken bus away) are super good for really cheap clothes and jewellery ect.
Treehouse rave is a must- get early shuttle to see sunset and get stuff before if you can bc que for wizard.
Day trip to Lagoona de apoyo- super nice, don’t scammed into getting shuttle or paying to go to lake.

La Fortuna waterfall ($19) expensive but definitely worth it.

Arenal national park- didn’t go but just walks round the volcano
Ecological park- walks round the volcano and a lake with water sports.
Very touristy place meaning you have to pay to get and do pretty much everything.
More cold/ rainy
but have to go to spend a few days there.

Stay in Saltwater hostel- very nice and social
Also stayed in Casa Oro- less social but okay still
Stay near the main town and cheapest shuttles to beach’s are from Casa Oro
Remas beach good to begin surfing (cheap lessons) and Mederas beach.
Have to do Sunday funday, go later on tho, tickets are cheaper if you stay in certain hostels but then you won’t get any sleep.
On Fridays there’s a beer pong competition/ get together where you can win free tickets too Sunday Funday.
Best food to eat out is the buffet, big plate of food for like $2 and so good.
Walk up to the Jesus statue or lighthouse.

Stay in Lazybones/Big Foot.
Go up Catherderal for sunset, have to get there before 5 though to get up.
Volcano boarding at sunset and good party.
Good second hand shopping too.
Do a day trip to Las Penitas, a 40 min chicken bus away, so nice and go to Momo hostel, surfs good, volley ball, nice vibes.

Popoyo, Nicaragua
We stayed at La Tica (not on booking/hostel world)- text number, nice, v near the beach, cheap and have bbq every night.
Most popular and nicest is big surf town, really near everything, very nice and not too expensive.
Popoyo is tiny but so nice and more to do than you think. Not touristy would defo recommend.
Slightly more expensive and take cash out before you go.
The surfing is really good. (beginners and not).
Rodio- intresting, proper experience, have to be asked to go and there’s a party after.
Turtle releasing too! Have to have a girls number who lives on the beach (ask around).
Natural rock pools down the beach at low tide.

Ometepe, Nicaragua
Stay in El Zapolite, so cheap and nice, very social and hippie vibe.
Only go if you don’t mind bugs and basically camping.
So much to do at the hostel, pizza party on tuesdays and saturdays, dancing. yoga, family dinner, coca ceromony ect…
Go to the chocolate hostel El Pital, estatic dancing and try brownies and cocoa stuff. Always stuff going on and people will tell you about it.
Stay in Santa Cruz.
Hire a moped ($15 a day) bc buses are limited and you cannot walk to places.
GET MONEY AT PORT OR BEFORE YOU GO- everything’s in cash and there are no ATM’s except right back at the port.
The lagoona is very nice.
Kayak with a tour on the islands- near Playa Mango.

Amura hostel- nice vibes, perfect location, cheap and massive beds.
Go to the Mercado market and the second hand one behind for good shopping.
City has lots too do, nice cafes, bar crawls.
The starbucks is nice lol.
Have to hike up acetengo, and fuego (incredible)

We stayed at Surf house, so so nice and fancy but more of a hotel so not as much socialising and it’s only a woman’s dorm the rest are hotel rooms.
no hostel i know here has a kitchen but you can find really cheap food if you go to the local small places.
Mellow and driftwood and cocori are popular and me casa.
Such a nice beach, beautful and amazing weather.
Surfing, not for beginners but super fun.
To eat- Luna (so cheap and good food).
Have some events, Wednesdays at Driftwood seem thie biggest. every day there’s a new party such good fun love it here can spend ages here.

Lake Atitlán, Guatemala
We stayed in San Pedro- biggest part
went to the hostel Mr Mullets for a bit, great party hostel super fun. Have loads of activities, bar crawl, we did the boat party (5th and 20th of every month) and it was so fun.
Good bars- sublime, Mr Mullets.
Good food- Jakku, Shanti Shanti.
Make bracelets in San Pedro or paintings.
Hot saunas in San Marcos.
Santa cruz, not much there ngl, one big hostel which is cool- Free cervesa.
San Juan, can walk from San Pedro, umbrella streets, shopping, so pretty. Can walk from here to the beach- Playa Las Cristalinas, cute beach, lots of locals.
San Marcos- Cerro Tzankujil Nature Reserve, jump in 12 m, so pretty.

Semuc Champey Natural Monument, Guatemala
We stayed at Vista Verde, sooo nice and Zephyr Lodge. (in lanquin not semuch)
Bat cave, got after dark too see thousands of bats come out.
Nice veiws too eat at Kalula
Do the semuch champey tour- transport to semuch, cave tour (crazy), wear CROCS, waterfall, swimming, vewi point, so much too do, a big day (we payed Q175-£17), Do not skip best day Eva.
Everyone stays only 2 days but it’s beautiful, you can do so many walks, I would go for like 4 days.
