Saturday, September 10 ???? - Our schedule for this day depends on our interest
in seeing more of Bologna. If we want to spend a few hours in Bologna and then
catch the fast train to Venice maybe around lunch. We could stay in Venice into
the evening with a late train back to Bologna. OR If done with Bologna, we can
take an early train to Venice and return to Bologna in late afternoon OR if we
are in love with Venice, we can stay as late as we desire and then return to
Bologna by a late train. Need to stay in Bologna to save time for transfer to
Sorrento tomorrow. ***Need to pre-book train ticket????? Hotel is about 3 miles
from train station. We can walk to it and enjoy sites along the way, or take a
taxi. Cost is approx. $10 total. Arriving in Venice NEED TO BE SURE THE TRAIN
TICKET WILL ALLOW US TO GET OFF AT SANTA LUCIA STOP. Will take about 45 minutes
to get from train to the city center by Vaporetto (public water bus) for about
$7. Take Line 2 goes to city center and stops at major sites. ***We can roam
around on our own. Many people say it is easy enough to do. OR, we can book a
private walking tour to take us by the main sites. ***Want to see: St. Mark's
