September 22 - scenic drive Rotorua, hot springs at te puia or wai-o- tapu. Visit huka falls, lake taupo.
September 23 to 30 - free time to enjoy the week and maybe a forest
Time to move to queenstown
October 2 - explore Milford South with a boat tour
October 3 or 4- Abel Tasman national park
October 6 - kayak around
October 8 - lake tekapo and lupin fields, stargazing experience at lake tekapo near the observatory.
October 9-10 short hikes in southern Alps
October 11 to 14 - free time
October 15 - spend time at the hot springs. Relax and explore Christchurch
October 17 - go bike around wineyards marleborborough
October 22 - explore kaikoura and maybe whale watch
October 30 or so - fly back to auckland
